Sayefuddin Rony

Sayefuddin Rony, commonly known as Rony, is a Consultant within the Payment Services and E-Money team at API Compliance. He provides ongoing regulatory compliance support to payment services and e-money clients, contributing to both project delivery and authorisation work across the UK and other EEA jurisdictions. Rony works with a diverse client base and has developed expertise in PSR and EMR compliance implementation, safeguarding assurance reviews, and broader regulatory compliance advisory work.

Rony brings extensive experience in financial services compliance, gained through both consultancy and in-house roles. He has supported payment services and e-money firms throughout the full regulatory lifecycle, including FCA authorisation applications, the design and enhancement of compliance frameworks, and the management of ongoing supervisory requirements. His background also includes hands-on experience as a Compliance Manager at a payment services firm, which has given him a strong practical understanding of operational and regulatory challenges.

Rony holds an MBA in International Business Management from Anglia Ruskin University, equipping him with a solid understanding of global market dynamics, cross-border trade, and strategic decision-making in diverse economic and cultural environments. He also holds a Level 7 Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), further strengthening his capabilities in leadership, organisational strategy, and business transformation.
