Lee Kurek

Lee is a senior compliance professional and entrepreneur with over 19 years’ experience in the payments and e-money space.

He founded API Compliance in 2014 after a successful career as the global Head of Compliance and MLRO for a multinational payment services group, gaining broad experience of the regulatory regimes of the UK, Ireland, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand.

His background in mathematics at the outset of his career provided him with a firm foundation in the systematic and analytical approach to problem solving that specialisation in AML/CTF and regulatory compliance demands.

In recent years he has, along with his team of experts, grown API Compliance into a leading provider of compliance services to the payments and electronic money industry with an outstanding track record, including a 99% approval rate for its regulatory applications and helping companies from over twenty countries worldwide establish their regulated operations in the UK.
